After ending the season in style to take the runners up spot in League 2, coach Paul Warne expects the team to prove thier worth in League 1

“The way the club is thinking, and following the success of the move to the new stadium, getting up to The Championship is the aim,”

“I think the lads did really well and they pulled out those five straight wins at the end and, I’m told, never before in the club’s history have they finished with five successive wins.”

Warney went on to thank the team for turning out to play in his testimonial game against former legends of the club; “I appreciated the lads turning out, they’re a great bunch, to provide the opposition for the former players who came back to play for my Legends team and I do expect them to do well next season and to take us onto further success and why not The Championship?”

Meanwhile there is a comedy night on Friday June 14th at Rotherham Trades club in aid of Warneys testimonial year.

Tickets are just £15 and include a Pukka Pie & Pea supper, tickets can be bought by ringing 07716 885809, emailing pw.testimonial@gmail.com and they can also be purchased from the club shop on a cash only basis.
