Walk The 92 Help needed urgently

15 January 2013 22:16
Scott Mclachlan is walking to all 92 league clubs raising funds for cancer charites. He reaches New York this week and needs your help.

Scott will be arriving at the New York Stadium on Thursday and requires accomodation for tonight as he continues his 2500 mile walk around the 92 league grounds.

Scott wishes to raise at least £92k towards both Prostate and Breast Cancer charities during the 7-8 months it will take him to Walk the near 2500 miles around the country, starting in Portsmouth on Sunday August 19th and finishing at Brighton in April 2013.   He is also aiming to be helped by Fans of the clubs he visits and where he is on the longest stretches of the Walk between clubs he aims to camp in a tent in the countryside if at all possible.   It will be vital to the Walks success that he has the help of Fans and Clubs as he heads round the country on this amazing adventure, he will need the support of many people.   Scott will be at Rotherham on about the 26th January 2013 and he would like to ask for your help in two things.   Arrange for a Fan to host him for 1 or 2 nights Plan activities at the Club during the time he will be there to assist in raising money for the chosen Charities.   We are contacting both Clubs and Fan organisations in order to setup the Walk and we hope that both will get involved in promoting this Walk and also assisting Scott when he visits the Club.   Also we are asking you to give us information and ideas about the Walk, perhaps you could have someone join him on the Walk for a bit or he could take a gift from one club to another, the possibilities to promote this and for people to join in are endless, so I hope this inspires you to put your thinking cap on and get involved.   If you can help Scott out with accomodation you can contact him on 07506 458000   visit his website at www.walkthe92.co.uk
