Stewart saw a record crowd of 11,033 sell out the new stadium for the visit of Sheffield Unied, with other good turnouts against Barnsley, Doncaster and Hearts.
Speaking to the Advertiser this week, he said: “I want to see a full house every time and I won't move away from that situation. We've a stadium we can be proud of and a football club that is going for it. We need a good fan base to encourage players to perform as well as they have done in the friendlies and if we do that we're not going to go wanting.
“We can attract more people. We want fans to come in their numbers and bring their aunties and uncles and come and see great football in a spectacular arena. The players thrive on it.
“In five years time I would like to be telling you that I'm impatient to be in the Championship and would like a change, because that's where we're going to be. Do you believe it? Yes. Can I guarantee it? No, but I can do my best. I will never be content in any division until we are out of that division. The pinnacle of success is the Premier League.
“Do I think we can get there? Let's start with getting out of League Two first.”
