Head of Commercial Steve Lewis tells the Advertiser that over a thousand people have booked in to renew their season tickets in the first week of appointments that have started today.

Lewis informed fans that over 1,100 supporters have booked in for the first week of presentations and the phonelines are busy with more and more people booking their slots.

He says: “We've got 1,585 season ticket holders at the moment and dealing with something that is going to be twice the size is phenomenal.

“We have had an overwhelming response. The take-up of the sessions is at 95 to 98 per cent. There has also been a positive response to our pricing. People thought the stadium was going to come with a bigger price increase.

Space at the town Library for the presentations is restricted and fans that have been sent a renewal pack should phone 08442 291925 to book an appointment.

Chairman Tony Stewart added: “It is very important to get families watching as we are a community-focused club. We are hoping that the new ground will attract fans both old and new. By reducing the cost of family season tickets and offering the option of a free season ticket for U8s in the family stand, we will be able to secure the next generation of supporters.”
