Scott wields axe as Millers look to rebuild

MillersMAD understands boss Andy Scott has offered new deals to four first teamers out of contract, with a host of others heading for the Millers exit door. Leaving the Millers first team squad are 19 year-old Grant Darley, Left sided players Jamie Green and Stephen Brogan, centre half Nick Fenton and winger Kevin Ellison, all of whom are out of contract.MillersMAD understands Nicky Law is thought to have rebuffed the proposed offer of a new contract and is also set to leave, although this has not yet been confirmed.Goalkeeper Jamie Annerson has been offered a one year extension, with full back Dale Tonge also in discussions over a new contract.We also understand Jason Taylor is discussing a new deal but at reduced terms whilst striker Ryan Taylor is to continue talks with his agent and boss Scott over a new deal this week.Young midfielder Oliver Banks has a deal on the table from a few weeks ago as the club await his decision.Player coach Paul Warne, goalkeeping coach Andy Dibble and former caretaker manager Andy Liddell were due to discuss their futures in club meetings that were taking place this morning.More to follow.
