Speaking to the Sporting Life today, boss Andy Scott admits talk about Alf is disrespectful. Transfer talk about the Millers top scorer Adam Le Fondre has been commonplace since his goalscoring exploits a couple of seasons back. But all the talk is now getting on boss Andy Scotts nerves; "It's inevitable that goalscorers attract attention but I'm sick of managers talking about my players and not talking to me or my chairman." "If they've got the money, stump it up but it's going to take a hell of an offer to let him go from this football club." he said. "I could talk about someone else's players but it's disrespectful. He'll be here for the start of the season and hopefully he'll be here for the whole season and beyond." Scott went on to admit there had been an bid tabled for the 24 year old, however the amount wasn't enough and the club tableing the bid was lower than thier expectations. "There has been an offer but nowhere near our valuation of the player. We don't feel it's a club that he would have been happy going to as well. He's aware of everything that's going on and his application is first class." Scotty praised Alfie's attitude and fitness on his return to training last week and added; "I've not got a bad word to say about the lad, Ever since I've been here he's given me everything he's got and he's fantastic to work with." "He's taken everything on board and been brilliant."
