Rotherham have appointed Andy Scott as the club`s new manager, with the former Brentford boss agreeing a three-year contract. The Millers parted ways with Ronnie Moore by mutual consent on March 22 following a disappointing run of form which saw the npower League Two outfit drift away from automatic promotion contention. Andy Liddell and Paul Warne have taken caretaker charge of the club`s last four games, in which they have taken four points from a possible 12. And Scott, sacked by Brentford at the start of February, will now take the reins with Rotherham four points outside the play-off places. The 38-year-old guided the previously struggling Bees to the League Two title in his first full season at the helm in 2008/09, before then masterminding a ninth-placed finish in the club`s first year in League One. Scott, who paid the price at Brentford earlier this season for a poor run of form, told Rotherham`s official website: "I feel privileged to be given the job of managing this progressive and ambitious club. It was a job I really wanted and to be able to share the ambition of the board is something I aim to work hard to achieve. "I want to replicate what I achieved in my first full season at Brentford and I will be working tirelessly to accomplish just that."
