Scott - Mistakes cost us

Rotherham manager Andy Scott admitted his side were made to pay for some individual mistakes as they conceded a two-goal half-time lead to draw 2-2 at Northampton. The Millers took a fifth-minute lead when Nicky Law's shot was deflected past goalkeeper by Paul Rodgers. Jason Taylor doubled their advantage on the stroke of half-time, but Cobblers substitute Leon McKenzie pulled one back and Davis struck through a crowded box to send the Sixfields crowd wild. Scott said: "We let Northampton back into the game and we've conceded two poor goals. "We dominated the second half, but we didn't do any of the things we needed to and kept giving the ball away. We spoke at half-time about it, but we just didn't do it in the second half. "Our work-rate dropped off and mentally the players tired and perhaps that's the reason we've dropped out of the play-offs in recent weeks. There were a few bizarre decisions went against us, but you've still got to defend in those situations and we didn't do that. "The players are giving me everything, but we started making individual mistakes and that's what cost us in the end. Nothing was going to be decided before Monday, but now we've got to hope that results go our way and we shouldn't be relying on that."
