Scott knocks on Wood for assistance

23 November 2011 09:44
Boss Andy Scott has returned to raid his old club Brentford, and is set to bring in winger Sam Wood on loan subject to a medical.

The 25 year-old left sided player is set to sign a six week deal until January, acting as cover for the injury to Gareth Evans who is tipped to be out for at least a month with an ankle injury.

Wood, who has spent all his pro career with the Bees after signing from Bromley, was Player of the Year at Griffin Park under Scott's management and having played 27 times last season, he's found starts limited of late.

The last of his eight appearances this campaign was back on 22nd October.

Wood's arrival means it's likely a few squad players could be making their way out on loan in the near future.

We wish Sam all the best during his stay with the club.
