Scott happy with Taylor signing

After he was passed to play just two hours before kick-off, Andy Scott was pleased to capture Chelsea keeper Rhys Taylor on an initial months loan.

Taylor made his debut in todays 3-0 win over Bradford City and Scott told the clubs website he was happy to complete the deal.

"We spoke to him a couple of times, and spoke to Neil Bath at Chelsea (Acadamy Manager), and we'd agreed the deal but it was just whether the Premier League could ratify it before the game. It was about quarter to one that we got official notice that we had got it.

"He's a good young goalkeeper, he played 49 games for Crewe last year. He understands the league, so we'll just have to see how he does, see if he likes it and fits in with what we do. Clearly with only one goalkeeper we needed to bring someone in and we're delighted Chelsea have allowed us to have a good young goalkeeper. He's got a lot of potential with Wales Under 21s and league experience."

The Millers and Taylor has the option to extend his loan after the initial month subject to clearance.
