Out of favour Danny Schofield has joined Accrington Stanley on loan

Schofield has seen himself frozen out of the first team since the arrival of boss Steve Evans, who put him on the transfer list in the summer.

Today the 32 year old has joined the Millers League 2 rivals on a three month emergency loan.

Evans told the Millers official site; "Danny needs to be playing football and this loan move allows him to do that."

The player told Stanleys website: "I can't wait to get started. At Rotherham I'm currently in the situation where I'm not going to play under the current manager. This is an ideal opportunity for me to come here and hopefully play some games. I'm thoroughly looking forward to it.

"I've played a lot of games at different levels in the Football League so hopefully I can bring some of that experience."

MillersMAD wish him all the best.
