Loan duo set for Millers debuts

Rotherham could hand James Tavernier and Haris Vuckic their debuts when Gillingham visit New York.

The Newcastle pair joined the Millers on loan until January on Thursday and could head straight into Steve Evans' starting XI.

Midfielder Michael O'Connor is a worry with the thigh injury he sustained the day before Tuesday's win at Coventry, as is Rob Milsom who had a back spasm 15 minutes before kick-off at Sixfields.

Mark Bradley has been ruled out for up to a month with a groin injury and David Worrall (virus) is still struggling as the Millers aim for a first home win in the league since September 14.

Elliott Hewitt and Craig Fagan both face late fitness tests ahead of Gillingham's trip to South Yorkshire.

On-loan Ipswich full-back Hewitt has sustained an ankle injury and is a major doubt while striker Fagan is struggling with a hamstring problem.

Both will be assessed ahead of the clash but Steven Gregory (thigh) and Amine Linganzi (calf) definitely continue to miss out.

Following Tuesday's 3-2 victory over Stevenage, Gills are looking to win back-to-back games in all competitions for only the second time this season.
