Double boost for Millers

Rotherham will welcome back David Noble and Craig Morgan to their squad for the local derby against Chesterfield.

Midfielder Noble has served a one-match ban following his red card at Burton last week, while Morgan returns to the fold after a foot injury which has sidelined him since mid-November.

Boss Steve Evans will have to decide whether to tinker with his starting line-up after an impressive midweek win at Torquay that saw the Millers adopt a 4-4-2 formation.

Ben Pringle was dropped to the bench for the 3-1 victory at Plainmoor and will be eyeing a recall, as will on-loan Blackburn striker Jordan Slew.

Michael O'Connor still has two games to serve of his three-match ban for stamping against the Brewers while goalkeeper Scott Shearer is the only player in the treatment room.

The Millers, who occupy the final play-off spot, are unbeaten on home soil against their north Derbyshire rivals since 2007.

Veteran striker Jack Lester will start for Chesterfield when they make the short trip.

Lester, the subject of an enquiry by the Millers last week, has started the last five games on the bench.

He came on last Saturday to score a late goal to seal a 2-0 home win against AFC Wimbledon. The 37-year-old replaced Marc Richards, who went off after 21 minutes with a tight hamstring.

However, Richards' withdrawal was merely precautionary and he will be available for the Spireites' first trip to the New York Stadium.

Winger Tendayi Darikwa is the only player unavailable to manager Paul Cook, who is looking to sign a left winger in time for the derby clash, as he recovers from a hernia operation.
