Evans to mix up Millers

Rotherham boss Steve Evans will make changes for his side's Capital One Cup clash with Cambridge, but has confirmed goalkeeper Kelle Roos will keep his place.

The Dutch stopper, on a season-long loan from Derby, endured a nightmare start to his Millers career as he shipped in four goals in the opening-day loss to MK Dons on Saturday and looked shaky throughout, but Evans will keep the faith.

Widespread changes are possible elsewhere as Lewis Buxton, Emmanuel Ledesma, Jordan Bowery, Jonson Clarke-Harris, Richard Wood, Paul Green, Lee Frecklington and Frazer Richardson all eye starts.

Joe Mattock (ankle) is unlikely to be risked while Kirk Broadfoot sits out the second of his 10-match ban for verbal abuse.

In contrast, Cambridge will travel looking to build on their 3-0 victory over Newport on the opening day of the season.

But the U's will be hoping for better fortune than the last time they faced the Championship side - a 3-0 defeat in the old Division Two 14 years ago.

Robbie Simpson, who was an injury doubt for Saturday's opener, is pushing for a start after coming off the bench to score his side's third.

Richard Money's squad fell at the first hurdle in last year's competition following a 3-1 defeat at Birmingham.
