Kearns eyes Millers debut

Rotherham could hand Danny Kearns a debut when Barnet visit New York on Saturday.

The 20-year-old joined the Millers on loan until the end of the season from Peterborough and will head straight into the squad.

Boss Steve Evans could be tempted to hand on-loan Liverpool striker Adam Morgan a home debut, though that would require a change of shape after the recent 4-5-1 formation of recent weeks. Daniel Nardiello would be the likely casualty if Evans does go down that route.

There will be at least one change from the side that were beaten 3-1 at Aldershot last week as Kari Arnason is suspended after being sent off in Hampshire for two yellow cards so Ian Sharps will return to the side.

Goalkeeper Scott Shearer is out of action for around a month after undergoing elbow surgery in the week and Craig Morgan (foot) is still on the sidelines.

Edgar Davids should be fit to return for Barnet.

Player-coach Davids has missed the last two matches due to a shoulder injury but is back in training and expects to be involved.

However, the legendary Dutch midfielder might opt to leave himself out the side after they ran out 2-0 winners over Bradford without him.

Davids has brought in a former Crystal Palace team-mate, young striker Ibra Sekajja, on a month's loan and he will travel.

Jon Nurse is still suspended and fellow forwards Steve Kabba (knee), Collins John (hernia) and Ishmail Kamara (shoulder) remain on the sidelines.

Defender Jonathan Fortune left the club this week while young striker George Barker has gone back to parent club Brighton after his loan deal came to an end.
