Brentford's Uwe Rosler has been named the Sky Bet League 1 Manager of the Month for November, with Ryan Lowe landing the player award.

Rosler's Bees went five games unbeaten in the month, including an emphatic 5-0 win over Crewe Alexandra, extending their run to eight without defeat.

Four clean sheets in five matches helped Rosler's side maintain their play-off push and former Charlton Athletic manager Alan Curbishley, who chairs the Sky Bet Manager of the Month judging panel, said: "After narrowly missing out on promotion last season, Uwe Rosler's men are clearly mounting another challenge this campaign.

"It was an impressive month for Brentford - going unbeaten with some notable results."

Sky Sports' Football League pundit Don Goodman said: "A win and a draw against title contenders Peterborough and Wolves showed why Uwe Rosler's Brentford side are a force to be reckoned with this season.

"Seven games unbeaten, Uwe's team have a strong back four, an exciting attacking unit and the mental strength needed to win tough games."

Tranmere striker Lowe has been named Player of the Month after bagging five goals in November, including a hat-trick at Coventry City in an emphatic 5-1 win for Rovers.

He ended the month by scoring a brace in a 2-1 win against Colchester United.

Tranmere manager Ronnie Moore said: "Ryan has had a fantastic month and scored some great goals so he deserves this award."

Rosler, who is currently in talks to become Wigan's new manager, beat off competition from Millers boss Steve Evans for the monthly gong.
