The highest profile casualties include second choice goalkeeper Steven Cann and midfielders Alex Rhodes and Peter Holmes. Jamie Clarke, Omar Garcia, Jamie Yates, Marc Newsham, Andy Todd and Tom Cahill have also been told they have no future at the club. Millers chief operating officer Paul Douglas said: "Everyone at Rotherham United would like to thank the players for their contribution while they have been with the club. "We would like to wish them all the best for their future career." Goalkeeper Cann made a name for himself this season with crucial penalty saves against Darlington in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy. Rhodes made a positive start following his summer switch from Bradford, but fell out of favour towards the end of the campaign making a loan switch to Blue Square Premier outfit Woking. Yates and Newsham came through the Millers youth system and played a major role in last season's campaign, but have spent most of the season out on loan, as have Todd and Cahill.
