Robins backs his strikers to shine

Adam Le Fondre, signed from Rochdale for £150,000, grabbed the opener before Tom Pope - who cost the same price from Crewe - doubled the lead. Matt Tipton pulled one back for the home side but Danny Harrison secured the points late on.[LNB]"That's what they're paid to do; the pair of them scored really good strikers' goals," said Robins. "Adam Le Fondre was disappointed to miss the midweek game at West Brom thorough injury but he made amends with an outstanding all-round display.[LNB]"They haven't played much together so it's good that they're beginning to form a partnership."[LNB]The only downside was Pope hobbling off with blood pouring from a gash in his ankle, and Robins was unhappy with the challenges on his striker.[LNB]He added: "He was caught late a number of times during the game and the studs were drawn down his ankle leaving a hole in one of his arteries."[LNB][LNB]
