Pope contract terminated

Forward Tom Pope has left the Millers and is set to sign for League Two rivals Port Vale. The 25 year-old had a year left on his contract but after being told he has no future with the club by boss Andy Scott, he was stripped of the number 9 shirt in pre-season after off the field problems and left to train with the reserves and youth set up. Pope spent time on loan at boyhood club Port Vale last year and MillersMAD understands he is set join up with Mickey Adams again at Vale Park despite interest from Morecambe. We wish Tom all the best for the future.
