After the sacking of Andy Scott, his number 2 Darren Patterson insists that the Millers come before his future.

Speaking to todays Advertiser Patterson said; "I will start thinking about myself after the weekend when I've bedded in and had four or five games in charge. That's the honest answer."

"I've a lot of people here to look after to make sure they feel comfortable in their jobs and wanted in their job and just to keep professional around the place."We have too many games to go and it is too big a club and too big a set-up to let drift, so I haven't thought anything other than making sure the players are right and the staff are OK."

"I don’t feel any pressure. Look at who’s bottom of the league, they’re under pressure, not us, I would rather the heavy weight be there on our shoulders, That's the type of thing that inspired me to play football and achieve in my career and if it's a worry here now then wait until you get to that beautiful new stadium with 7, 8, 9, 10, 11,000 fans expecting."

"That's the type of thing that inspires me and keeps me awake and I would want that, so I hope my players will play with freedom with the pressure on also, so bring it on." he added.
