No Millers return for legend Lee

As already discussed on the site, boss Steve Evans has ruled out a return for former striker Alan Lee.

The 34 year-old was released by Huddersfield last Friday and after netting two goals in Paul Warne's testimonial on Sunday for the Millers legends side, it sparked talks amongst fans of a possible return to the club.

However Evans moved quickly yesterday to dismiss those rumours, speaking to themillers.co.uk.

“When you are the manager of the Millers having just been promoted to League One, with aspirations of getting into the Championship, then quite rightly the supporters are going to be excited about being linked to a whole host of players,” said Evans. “Alan Lee's representatives haven't expressed anything about him wanting to come here, he is a legend at this football club but as the manager I have to be honest and admit that it is not something I am looking to pursue.”
