News on Evans and Wood gives Scott a boost

01 December 2011 10:39
Boss Andy Scott has been told Gareth Evans' injury isn't as bad as first feared, whilst he has received permission for Sam Wood to play in Saturdays FA Cup tie.

Evans has been told by a specialist that his ankle injury won't keep him on the sidelines for as long as it was first thought.

The club anticipated at least a six week layoff for the wide man.

Meanwhile Wood's parent club Brentford have given the nod for him to feature in the Millers tie at Shrewsbury Town.

Guy Branston and Brett Williams will also be available, but Jon Harley has again been refused permission to play by Notts County.

We'll have an interview with more details later.
