Nards looking to net against his old club

Daniel Nardiello returns to familiar ground tomorrow and will be looking to continue his recent scoring form.

After arriving in the summer from opponents Exeter, the frontman, who was often used on the wing last season, has already scored over half as many goals this term with eight to his name in a Millers shirt.

However, he doesn't have a bad word for his old club.

He told the Advertiser today: “I've had quite a lot of clubs in my career. I was at Exeter for two years and had a great time down there. We loved the place and the people but me and the wife wanted to come back up north because that is where our family is from.

“You always look forward to going back to your old club to play against old friends but the aim for me is to get three points and get on the scoresheet. It should be a good game.”

He added: “I've got eight goals so I'm generally happy with the way things are going for me personally. I have never got 20 in a season before so I'll keep pushing to get as close as I can. I'm enjoying it here and I think I made the right decision to come."
