Move was a rush - Bell-Baggie

On loan midfielder Abdulai Bell-Baggie speaks to todays Advertiser about being compared with Shaun Wright-Phillips and the loan move to the Millers. Bell-Baggie looks like Shaun Wright-Phillips, and at only 17 thats a comment that Abdulai himself admits can go to your head he tells todays 'Tiser."The comments about Wright-Phillips are good and I suppose it's hard to keep level-headed when I hear them. If I do half as well I'll be happy. It was Messi who was my boyhood hero though. He's got great feet and he's great on the ball. He makes things happen out of nothing and he's the one I go out of my way to watch." Bell-Baggie was spotted by Ronnie playing for Reading's reserves against Exeter (he had been to watch fellow loanee Craig McAllister) and was quickly enquired about by the Millers boss."I've been there (Reading) since I was nine, I got my opportunity quite early and I've been playing reserves for the last two years and doing well but I wasn't really going anywhere."You never know whose watching those matches. I played in a game at Exeter and suddenly Rotherham came in for me. It all happened in a flash in 24 hours. I was called up for the match at Dagenham and I travelled to Charlton to join the team in training."During that game I was on the bench and the pace looked quite fast. It's hard to adjust when you come on as a sub as well but once you get on you get used to it. At least I hit the target and got in the positions, If I keep doing that then hopefully the goals will come." Abdulai added."Obviously my pace is my strength but I like finding little pockets of space to create things "It would be great to come here, do well and help Rotherham win promotion and next season you never know, I might come back."One first glances, boss Ronnie Moore would probably hope he does come back and told the 'Tiser; "Abby looked nice and sharp the other night and on another day he might have had a hattrick. He gets in good positions and in the end they (Macclesfield) tried to kick him all over. He's bright and positive and he's got a good future."Welcome to MillersMadHere's our LATEST Messageboard topics MillersMAD are proud sponsors of Dale Tonges home kit.
