Boss Steve Evans hopes to seal two more signings by Wedneeday aswell as lodging bids for other players.

The gaffer watched the League Two play-off game between Cheltenham and Torquay yesterday and held talks with an un-named player after the game.

He also confirmed that subject to medicals, two new players will be announced officially by Wednesday to join Daniel Nardiello as additions to the squad.

"At present we are getting organised for next season and that means in every aspect from pre-season matches and training schedules. A specialist training camp is looking likely and of course the most vital part, as I said, namely player and staff recruitment", Evans told the clubs official website.

"We will continue to go about our business in a timely, professional and resolute manner. We are Rotherham United and we need to ensure that we set the standards that will in turn allow us to have a great season. I have identified the players we want here and my chairman is aware of who they are. I am lucky in that he has given me the go ahead to try and sign those players but these things take time.

"It goes without saying we have outstanding alternatives in mind if we do not get the players we want so our strategy is in place. Let us not forget that if we fail to plan then we can plan to fail, that will not happen."
