Moore: We deserved victory

Ronnie Moore felt his Rotherham side deserved victory against Oxford as the Millers brought to an end a run of five matches without a win. All the games' goals came in the first half with Rotherham racing into a two goal lead through Adam Le Fondre's 15th and 16th goals of the season, before Simon Clist reduced the arrears for the Us. "We deserved it - we were the better side," said Moore. "The 2-1 win makes it seem a lot closer than it was, but it was nice to get the win. "The work rate was good, we closed people down and did everything we wanted to do." Naturally there was praise for Le Fondre from his manager, but Moore also singled out the former Rochdale player's strike partner Ryan Taylor. "There were a lot of good, positive performances from our players, and the partnership between Ryan Taylor and Adam Le Fondre is starting to pay dividends," he added. "They are good players, there is no doubt about that."
