Moore to give trialists a chance

Rotherham boss Ronnie Moore has left the door open for trialists to try and earn a deal at Don Valley. Moore has already boosted his squad with the arrival of six players over a busy close season and as he continues his summer recruitment in order to mount a promotion challenge this term, he is willing to run the rule over several trialists. But with the club returning to pre-season training on Friday, just five weeks after their npower League Two play-off final defeat at Wembley, Moore has warned that any newcomers must be better than what he already has at his disposal. "We haven't got anyone definite at the moment but we have had one or two players who have asked to come and train with us so we will see what happens," he told the club's official website. "We have got 20 pros in already so I don't really want to overload the squad unless the players who want to come and train have a chance of a deal. "I don't want players to come in just to make the numbers up. They have got to be better than what we've got."
