Moore salutes Millers spirit

Ronnie Moore felt Rotherham`s hard work won the day as they showed plenty of heart to see off the challenge of fellow promotion hopefuls Crewe and remain in third place. The Alex appeared to be heading for a point after Ajay Leitch-Smith`s suspiciously offside equaliser had cancelled out Nick Fenton`s opener. But two goals in five minutes in the closing stages from Adam Le Fondre - his 19th of the season - and Ryan Taylor handed the Millers a 3-1 triumph and left Dario Gradi tasting the bitter pill of defeat. "Give my lads a lot of credit," said Moore. "They've worked hard, dug in and given everything, and I couldn't ask for more. The biggest thing was the passion and the desire and that earned us a little bit of luck. We've given our all and you cannot ask for more than that. "I am still dubious about their goal. It look offside and the lads are adamant it was offside but it was given, although I think that was the only way they were ever going to score. "We defended well and dealt with the threat of Byron Moore up front and, although Crewe were missing their best two strikers, give my lads a lot of credit."
