Moore pleased to steal Elliott

Rotherham boss Ronnie Moore has expressed his delight at the signing of Leeds striker Tom Elliott. Moore, who was desperate to bolster his striking options following an injury to Ryan Taylor last week, has brought the 19-year-old to Don Valley on a six-month loan deal after pinching him from under the noses of League Two rivals Northampton. Elliott, who enjoyed a loan spell at Bury last term, trained with his new team-mates for the first time on Thursday and Moore is excited about working with the youngster. "We were fortunate to get him," he told the club's official website. "There is no doubt that there aren't that many strikers about and to be honest he was on his way to Northampton but we were lucky that we spoke to his agent and he has decided to come to us. "He has got League Two experience after a spell at Bury last year and he is a handful. He is a big lad at 6'3", he puts himself about, he has pace and he is young."
