Moore misses out on Magennis

Rotherham have missed out on the signing of highly-rated Josh Magennis after the striker decided to join SPL side Aberdeen. The Northern Ireland international was released by npower Championship side Cardiff at the end of last season and Millers boss Ronnie Moore was close to agreeing a deal for the 19-year-old, which would have represented a massive coup for the League Two club. But following interest from the Scottish outfit, Magennis agreed on a move to Pittodrie, leaving Moore's search for a new striker ongoing. "We thought we had everything sorted but then Aberdeen came in and offered him silly money," Moore told the Star. "He decided to go there but he would have been a wow signing for us at this level with his pace and strength. "He would have been a great signing but you win some and lose some."
