Moore keen to keep Le Fondre

Ronnie Moore vowed to keep hold of striker Adam Le Fondre after he played a starring role in Rotherham's thrilling 6-4 victory over Cheltenham. Le Fondre scored four goals and also missed a penalty as the Millers came from 3-1 down at one stage to maintain their unbeaten start to the League Two season. "We have a chairman who doesn't need the money. Le Fondre won't go anywhere. He is contracted here and hopefully he'll get us out of this division," said Moore. Millers boss Moore paid tribute to Le Fondre but hit out at his side's defending, saying: "We showed a bit of character. We got the goals at just the right time and we had a good start to the second half. "But you can't excuse the way we defended. It was unacceptable for us, but give them credit, because I bet it was a great game to watch, though it certainly wasn't a great game for me to watch "We showed a lot of spirit especially as one or two players were not on their, game, though Adam Le Fondre was just magnificent. He was absolutely unplayable and some of his goals were fantastic."
