Moore eying striker

Rotherham manager Ronnie Moore has sight his sights on signing a new striker, despite seeing his side claim an opening day victory over Lincoln. Adam Le Fondre took just nine minutes to open his account for the season with a cool finish, but Mustapha Carayol levelled on the hour for the Imps. But the Millers were not to be denied and Ryan Cresswell, making his debut as skipper, thundered home a header with just two minutes left on the clock. However, Moore is desperate to bolster his attacking options and a move for his son, Tranmere striker Ian Thomas-Moore, is looking likely. "We want a striker there's no doubt about that," said Moore. "If one of ours gets injured we are in trouble. We keep looking but its very, very difficult to bring an experienced striker in." Moore confirmed his son had put in a transfer request at Prenton Park on the back of a Millers bid being rejected and added: "If it is granted, I don't think there is any doubt about where he would come."
