Moore blasts naive Millers

Rotherham boss Ronnie Moore admitted he was "tearing his hair out" after his side's 2-1 defeat to Southend. The Millers struggled to regain their composure after Ryan Hall and Blair Sturrock gave the visitors a 2-0 lead going into half-time. Moore's men responded through defender Nick Fenton in the second half but succumbed to their first league defeat in nine games. Speaking after the game, Moore said: "The players were so naive it was unbelievable. To concede two sloppy goals like we did in this game gives you a mountain to climb and we weren't good enough to do that. "That's six points they have taken off us this season and we haven't performed in both games, that's the annoying thing. You cannot play at the tempo we played at here. "When we got back to 2-1 we had a hell of a chance but still the tempo wasn't there. "Three minutes into added time summed it up when we were still passing back. The crowd were going berserk, I'm going berserk. Put the ball where we are going to get something from it. Some of the decisions we made were shocking."
