Moore backs Alfie to shine

Rotherham manager Ronnie Moore is backing star striker Adam Le Fondre to regain his scoring touch. The 24-year-old hot-shot has gone four games without a goal and while this may not represent a barren-spell for most strikers, it is the longest he has gone without a goal in a Millers shirt. Moore's men have won three of those encounters, losing 2-1 to Southend on Saturday, and have now scored 11 goals without Le Fondre getting on the scoresheet. "Last season if Alf didn't score, we never won a game," Moore told Press Association Sport. "To look at us scoring 11 goals and he hasn't got one, it's tremendous for us and at the moment he doesn't look like he is going to score. "But strikers go through that. Alfie is not one of those to get worried. But it's great that we're winning games when he is not scoring goals." Le Fondre has had a prolific time for the Millers and has scored 47 goals in 78 appearances.
