Robins also insisted his side should have been awarded a first-half penalty when Jamie Clarke was fouled in the box.
He said: "The only thing that was lacking from our point of view was a goal.
"We created one of two chances and it looked like there was a dubious decision in the first half when I thought Jamie Clarke was caught in the area. I was waiting for the penalty to be awarded but it never got given.
"More than once or twice we caused them problems and I am sure Brentford
will be more than delighted with their point.
"It was an interesting game for us because we were playing against a team who are top of the league by some distance and we got what I expected from the game."
