The striker went off with a gashed shin just moments after scoring yesterdays opening goal in the 2-1 win over Fleetwood.
Boss Evans said he is still unsure how serious the damage is until his medical team can give an update after the swelling goes down.
He told the clubs website: "It should have been a straight red card, the tackle is just scandalous.
"We will not know how Nards is until later so there is no point in me speculating. As for the other players, Mark Bradley will hopefully train tomorrow and we are hopeful that Daniel Kearns will too.
