Millers start work on DVS surface

25 May 2010 12:11
In readiness for next season work has already started by the Millers to get the Don Valley pitch up to standard. Head groundsman Jim Davison has told The Star he is confident that work that began straight after the Millers had won through to the League Two playoff final, by beating Aldershot 2-0, will make the pitch far better than last season. The state of the pitch after the U2 concert took place came under fire from a number of opposing teams. One end was left badly discoloured and combined with the bad weather over a number of weeks this winter, the pitch required parts of it to be re-laid. The Wembley pitch has had its own problems, with the ball visibly taking a bobble when running on the surface. The Millers will only be allowed to view the pitch on Friday before the League One Final takes place on the Saturday.Welcome to MillersMadHere's our LATEST Messageboard topics
