Brogan suffered complications after initial surgery to repair the damage, but battled back to step off the substitutes' bench in the 85th minute of Saturday's home defeat to Exeter.
Brogan said: "It was an amazing feeling. I had my friends and family watching. It's been a long 15 months and I just want to put it behind me.
"Next season my aim is to get back to the standard I was at. I can't wait for next season to start.
"My leg still gets a bit stiff, but there's no pain there anymore and I'll be working on that and my overall fitness during the summer to get as fit as everyone else in pre-season."
