Millers quash Alfie transfer request rumour
Rotherham have moved quickly tonight to pour cold water on reports in the national media that Adam Le Fondre has handed in a transfer request. After three mediocre bids were all rejected by the club from rivals Sheffield Wednesday, Chief Operating officer Paul Douglas told tonights Star that there was no truth that Alf wants out. “He has never given us a written transfer request or asked for a move,” said Douglas.“He has acted in a totally professional manner throughout all this and no one should get the impression that Adam has done anything other than that or anything that may, in any way, damage the special place he has in the fans’ affections here." Le Fondre is out of contract in the summer but MillersMAD would like to confirm that the Millers are keen to keep his services for their promotion push and are under no pressure to sell, contrary to rumours and articles appearing on certain websites.
