Rotherham got their pre-season campaign underway with a 2-0 win at Parkgate on Saturday afternoon in red hot conditions at Roundwood.

Adam Collin, Richard Brindley and Danny Hylton all got their first run outs in a Rotherham shirt as boss Steve Evans made ten changes to his side at half-time to give the vast majority of his squad some game time ahead of their pre-season tour of Scotland.

Only youngster Danny Rowe remained on the pitch for the second period as Daniel Nardiello netted both goals in the final half hour of the afternoon.   Team first-half: Collin, Brindley, Rowe, Morgan, Skarz, Rose, O’Connor, Noble, Walker, Hylton, Agard.   Second-half: Shearer, Bradley, Mullins, Rowe, Milsom, Worrall, Frecklington, Tidser, Pringle, Revell, Nardiello.   The Millers now travel North of the border to face Greenock Morton tomorrow evening, before they take on Livingston on Wednesday night, concluding their trip with a game at Ayr United this coming Saturday.
