Millers look at new training ground
The Millers are looking at buying a new training facility on the Rotherham / Sheffield border. After losing their own training ground at Hooton Lodge when the club left Millmoor when a deal couldnt be done with the Booth family, the club have trained at the Keepmoat in Doncaster and laterly Green Lane at Parkgate. However todays Star reports that the club are looking at the old Avesta site on Bawtry Road as a their new training headquarters. The site itself is quite big with numerous football pitches alongside 2 cricket fields.
