Millers bring in Brindley

As first mentioned on MillersMAD yesterday, the Millers have completed a deal for highly rated, Norwich born Chesterfield defender Richard Brindley.

Versatile Brindley, 20, joined the Spireites in January until the end of the season after moving from non-league Gloucester City, and is keenly thought of.

Brindley started at his home town club Norwich as a trainee, before making 24 appearances for Gloucester. He went on to make 12 appearances for Chessie, where he is now out of contract.

Boss Steve Evans revealed earlier today he fended off interest from Championship clubs for the youngster and was very pleased with the deal.
