Rotherham have called for volunteers to help clear the pitch in a bid to get Saturday's League Two clash with Aldershot on. Snow has been covering the Don Valley playing surface for much of the last week, but with a predicted thaw towards the end of the week the club are determined for the game to go ahead, having not played since November 23. Volunteers have been asked to attend at 9am on Thursday morning. A club statement read: "With the present weather forecast showing an improvement in temperature the club are committed to trying to get the game on. "We require your help from Thursday 9am at Don Valley Stadium to help clear the snow from the playing surface. Any volunteers will need to bring warm clothing and if possible a shovel."
