Marshall working hard to keep his place

Winger Marcus Marshall talks to todays Advertiser about his recent displays and gaining confidence to stay in the side regularly. Marshall has been pressing for a start and got his chance just recently on the right after some impressive games in the reservesHe explained to the Tiser: "Ronnie Moore, Jimmy Mullen, Paul Warne and Andy Liddell have all been telling me to be positive and egging me on and that's helped me a lot. "I was in the reserves all last month doing well and Lids was in my ear, telling me I'd have my chance and when it came I'd have to take it. I just want to keep playing and stay in the team." Moore himself added: "He's coming on and he's got fantastic ability and pace but what he has got at this present time is a bit of self-belief. We have worked hard on him and I thought he was excellent last Saturday." Marshall was a constant threat down the right flank against Oxford last weekend and despite the cup blip at York in midweek is likely to start again at Crewe tomorrow. He continued: "It was just a great day for me. I want to keep working on my confidence and getting balls in but if I can add a few goals to that then that would be great. "A goal-scoring wide man—that's what I want to be. They have been scoring a few (Crewe) and they are not letting in that many so it is going to be a tough game. I always think our away form has been decent but if we play like we can then the result can take care of itself."Welcome to MillersMadHere's our LATEST Messageboard topics MillersMAD are proud sponsors of Miller Bear's home kit
