Le Fondre shrugs off transfer talk

Adam Le Fondre has vowed to fire Rotherham to promotion amid constant speculation regarding his future. The Millers have been keen to tie down their 17-goal striker to a long-term contract and opened negotiations with the 24-year-old earlier this season. Those talks broke down and have since been put on the back-burner and Ronnie Moore faces a nervous few weeks as he aims to stave off reported interest during the transfer window. But Le Fondre would not be drawn on his future and is focusing on helping his side climb out of League Two. "I am just continuing with the way things are going now," he told Press Association Sport. "I am happy to leave it as it is and concentrate on my football and hopefully get us promoted. "I love scoring goals and it is mainly what I am about. I want to get 30-plus goals and hopefully help the team to go up."
