Le Fondre gives Millers the edge.
Striker Adam Le Fondre was delighted after scoring the winner in today's League Two first leg Play off against Aldershot. The Millers will take a single goal advantage into Wednesday's second leg after top scorer Le Fondre took his season's tally to twenty nine. Speaking on Millers Player Le Fondre also praised the fans saying:"The fans were great they always are good at away games."Le Fondre was pleased to have got back on the goals trail."I'm really glad to have scored from open play after ten games or so, and I'm getting closer to thirty which is what I want."I've been frustrated with myself, but today has been more about team play and getting a result, and I got my chance and I took it."Le Fondre had a fresh strike partner today with Ryan Taylor going straight into the side after returning from his loan spell at Exeter, and drew praise from Adam."Ryan was quality he looked strong today, he's come back looking an all new player from Exeter, he's a really good player on his day."The size of the Aldershot rearguard was a challenge today for 'Alf' but he explained:"At this level I don't think there is a defender capable of keeping me quiet for 90 minutes, the bigger defenders are going to brush me aside now and then, but I just get on with it, and when I get a gift like that I'm not going to turn it down, I just bent it round the keeper and I'm very happy with that"Looking forward to the return leg on Wednesday at Don Valley Alf said:"We know it's going to be a hard game at home as it was here, but we just have to have the same work ethic at home and the result will take care of it's self, we've got to treat it as 0-0 and they ave to come at us and we can get them on the break."
