Jaybo leaves for Cheltenham

Midfielder Jason Taylor has left the Millers on his 26th birthday and signed for League Two promotion rivals Cheltenham Town.

Despite being a regular in the side this season and being well clear at the top of the MillersMAD Player of the Year leaderboard, Taylor, who is 26 today, doesn't figure in manager Steve Evans future plans and has just penned a two and a half year deal at Whaddon Road after completing a medical.

Evans had stated initially last week that he hoped to bring in one more player before the transfer deadline, with two players likely to be leaving, and confirmed that again after Saturday's defeat to Bristol Rovers.

Jaybo has made 25 appearances this term, scoring two goals and scored 9 times overall for the Millers in 103 starts since his arrival back in 2010.

He had a loan spell with Rochdale during that time, helping them to promotion to League One before rejoining Rotherham and winning his place back.

We wish Jaybo every success for the rest of his career.

Reacton to come later...
