It should be a good game - Scott

Boss Andy Scott speaks ahead of tonights JPT game with the Blades, plus remembers last years competition during his time with Brentford.

Last season Scott led Brentford to the brink of the final but then never got the opportunity to lead them out at Wembley after being sacked four days before the second leg of the Southern Area Final against Exeter.

Caretaker boss Nicky Forster was the man who stepped in for the big occasion and Scott spoke of that disappointment.

“It was a major disappointment for me because the team got there and I wasn’t able to lead them out,” he told the Star.

“I want to manage a team at Wembley and so fulfill an ambition, just as players want to play there. At this level, players get two realistic chances of getting there in a season - in this competition and via the play-offs."

Scott then looked ahead to tonights clash in the Northern area second round, adding; “Perhaps the first couple of rounds are reckoned an irritant by some but a couple of wins and you start to sense something.

"It’s about winning. Fans want to see their team win whatever the competition, even a friendly. We’ve got a great draw and I think it’ll be a good game."
