I'm looking for another keeper - Scott

20 May 2011 10:21
After telling Andy Warrington that he won't be offered a new deal with the Millers next summer, Andy Scott is on the lookout for a new keeper. Talking to the Advertiser, boss Andy Scott admits that he's aiming to sign another keeper in the close season and that Jamie Annerson may not be the number one choice between the sticks. "I have told Andy that I don't see him as my no. 1. Whether that is Jamie or someone else, we will see because I am looking to bring in another keeper." he said. "Andy says he wants to stay and fight for his place and that's fine but I thought it was better to tell him now than leave it until pre-season and him be surprised." "Jamie has done well for us. He has an opportunity and if another goalkeeper arrives then it will put Andy further down the pecking order." Meanwhile Scott has'nt heard anything back from the 6 players he offered new deals to and isnt expecting any answers in the next fortnight
