Illness and injury sweeps through Millers camp

Boss Steve Evans says four of his squad are doubtful for Tuesdays game at Fleetwood to add to his growing injury list.

The Millers crashed out of the FA Cup to Rochdale yesterday and were only able to name four subs after injury to Pablo Mills and Matt Tubbs fell ill on Saturday morning.

And Evans revealed that a sickness bug has laid much of his squad low in the past few days.

He explained to the clubs official website: “After losing Tubbs we had to play Kieran Agard up top who’s not played there for a long time.

"We also had to play Richard Brindley on the right wing and he’s only played one reserve game there a year ago. Mark Bradley was very tired because we were forced to play him after just two training sessions.

"Michael O Connor has had his injection, he should return to training on Thursday. Rob Milsom has a back strain, we are hoping it’s a week till he returns, back injuries are often misleading. Pablo Mills should be back available later in the week and David Worrall is ready for a reserve match now."I will not be naming the names of the other players affected (with illness) but at this present time there are four players struggling and are doubtful for Tuesday night."

The Millers manager will welcome the return of loan players James Tavernier, Haris Vuckic and Nouha Dicko for the JPT clash to bolster his side, with the trio cup tied for yesterdays defeat.
